I wanted to resist...but read enough spoilers on various other live journals to know what happened, so I ended up looking at the raw anyway...I could seriously hate Light (Raito) for this. His genius lies in manipulating others, and he seems to have manipulated them perfectly this time. I admired the way in which he managed to read into what everyone around him would do - what I don't want to forgive is the way he manipulated Rem to do what he wanted. I can only hope something he has overlooked will backfire on him.

...even if the eraser twist from the pilot is also canon for the manga, Rem won't return...so that was unforgiveable...
